FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What are your fees?

Individual therapy

$300

50 minutes per session. The first EMDR trauma-processing session is 90 minutes. We will discuss the fee for that longer session before scheduling it.

Couples therapy

$350

60 minutes per session. If a longer session would feel supportive, we can decide together what makes sense.

Sessions and longer appointments

I currently offer virtual therapy only. EMDR processing sessions alternate with sessions for reflection and support. Read about the EMDR session process. For family therapy, we will discuss session length and fees during the consultation.

Sliding-scale availability

I offer sliding-scale fees for individual and couples therapy when there is financial need. Please mention this when you reach out, and we can talk through what may be possible.

Insurance

I am not currently on insurance panels. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide a Superbill at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company if your plan offers out-of-network coverage.

Questions to ask your insurance provider

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • How many sessions does my plan cover each year?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

To confirm coverage, you may need my zip code, 90403, and NPI number, 1134705361.

What is your approach to therapy?

I begin with a relationship built on care, choice, and respect for your own experience.

My approach and relational style

I believe therapy can be a place to heal in relationship. I am warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental, and I put a great deal of care into building a solid, trusting connection with you.

Our work is collaborative. You have a say in what we focus on and the goals you want to pursue. I will respect your decisions and work with you to find an approach that meets your needs.

Alongside trauma-informed and body-aware work, I bring a psychoanalytic lens to therapy. I was trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, also known as LAISPS, and I use that perspective to stay curious about the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be shaping life beneath the surface.
